Iliman Ndiaye has already said "yes" to a move to Everton as the club now look to agree terms with Marseille, according to Massilia Zone.

Canal+ journalist 'Adam' posted via X [20 June] that Everton and Marseille have ramped up negotiations former the former Premier League forward over the past 24 hours.

The Toffees are said to be eager to quickly wrap up a deal with the player ready to join, but they will first have to meet the French club's demands.

The Toffees are certainly not messing about in the early stages of the transfer window. While no confirmed signings have been made, they have tied some players down to new deals and have clearly identified targets.

Ndiaye is one that is very much left-field, but he seems a very talented player and this would be a welcome deal at Goodison Park.

If the player is indeed open to a move, that is half the challenge complete. The Toffees now need to work on a fee with Marseille, which is hopefully nothing ridiculous.

If the club can get a deal in place, that would be a fine start to the transfer window. There will be outgoings in the coming days and weeks, you would expect, but they can hopefully be offset by arrivals.

And given Ndiaye already has experience of life in English football with Sheffield United - mainly in the Championship, granted - he should not need too long to adapt if he does arrive.
