Everton have set their price for striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin as Newcastle are keen on securing a summer transfer, according to the Daily Mail.

The newspaper reported on its website on 22 June that the Toffees want around £35million for the 27-year-old England international.

Despite his injury struggles this past season, the Magpies are still keen on adding Calvert-Lewin to their ranks for the 2024/25 campaign.

While the 27-year-old has been a valuable asset, his recent injury struggles have hindered his performance and consistency.

By selling him at this price, Everton can reinvest in a younger, more reliable player who can contribute more consistently to the team's success.

This decision aligns with the club's goals and financial sustainability, as it frees up funds to strengthen the squad with a player who can provide greater value and help achieve their objectives.

While Sean Dyche admires the England striker, he would not be overly pleased with the number of games that he's missed.

Also, with Beto struggling to adapt to life in the Premier League, it makes ample sense to sign a new quality centre forward.
