Huge Dan Friedkin news emerges ahead of Everton takeover

Dan Friedkin has taken a "huge step forward" in his bid to complete a takeover of Everton, according to Dan Plumley.

The American billionaire has pumped £200million into the club, with £160million of that repaying loans from MSP Sports Capital, Andy Bell and George Downing [Indpendent].

The football finance expert admitted that the Premier League can approve that development and moves things onto the next stage already at Goodison Park.

"It's a huge step forward," he exclusively told Goodison News.

"That was one of the sticking points of the previous takeover bid, this is a big first tick in the box to say that is done and can put that one to bed.

"The Premier League can look at that and approve it and they can move onto the next phase, that's one of the biggest kind of causes for optimism that one of the hurdles that was before seems to have been cleared."

The takeover nightmare that started nearly a year ago looks to finally be coming to an end with Farhad Moshiri set to part ways with his stake.

Moshiri was said to have picked Friedkin to leave the club more financially secure once he takes over, with Bramley Moore Dock stadium set to be debt-free too [Sky Sports].

These are huge steps, and the repayment of these loans are the first in a long journey.
