Spotted: Unreal Jordan Pickford image emerges after England win v Switzerland as Everton star is hero
An unreal image of Everton star Jordan Pickford has emerged after he was the hero in England’s penalty shootout win over Switzerland.
The Three Lions claimed a 5-3 shootout win to reach the Euro 2024 semi-finals after Pickford saved Manuel Akanji’s penalty, with all five England players finding the net with their spot kicks.
But after the game, an unbelievable image emerged of Pickford’s water bottle which had the direction he should dive for each Swiss player, including Akanji and the words “dive left”, which he did to make the all-important save.

For years media and rival fans have tried to criticise Pickford and his qualities because of the odd moment of madness that he has in his locker.
But while they are right that he can sometimes have a brain fart, they are ignoring the fact that he is so often a reliable goalkeeper for club and country and is one of the very best around.
He has never let England down and that is why Gareth Southgate trusts him, and he is now among the all-time great Three Lions shot stoppers with yet another big performance in a major tournament.
The water bottle stunt is something we have seen him do before for England and even Everton, but it’s always stunning to see it brought to life and shows the level of preparation that goes into it.
Pickford has once again proved that he is the best option in goal for England, and Everton are incredibly lucky to have such a top class player in their ranks.
