Kevin Thelwell admirer of Eddie Nketiah at Everton as Arsenal exit update emerges
Everton sporting director Kevin Thelwell is an admirer of Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah, according to TEAMtalk.
The news outlet reported online on Wednesday (7 August) that the Toffees are keeping tabs on the 25-year-old.
Olympique Marseille have seen two bids rejected but could come in with a third offer.
Arsenal are thought to have lowered their demands with the Ligue 1 outfit still favourites to sign the Everton-linked striker.
Kevin Thelwell to try and sign Eddie Nketiah at Everton?
If the Toffees could bring Nketiah to Goodison Park, that would be a huge coup for Sean Dyche and the club.
Everton’s biggest issue last season was finding the back of the net. As a result, Dyche will be keen to add some more quality forwards to his ranks.
And adding a forward with Premier League experience would no doubt be ideal for the Toffees.
Nketiah is a player who knows where the back of the net is. He has scored 38 goals and provided seven assists for Arsenal in 138 appearances.
That is despite never being the recognised first-choice striker in North London. Therefore, there is room to believe that with a consistent run of matches under his belt Nketiah could improve this output.

While his Premier League record isn’t outstanding, with just 19 goals in 116 appearances, having a player with experience in England’s top tier could prove useful.
However, it remains to be seen whether the Toffees will make a move or if they can even afford a deal.
