Edin Terzic could be under consideration for the Everton job amid growing doubts over the future of Sean Dyche, according to Mark Douglas.

The journalist reported for i News [20 September] that there are three managers waiting in the wings to succeed Dyche if he is sacked.

David Moyes and Graham Potter are two of those, while Terzic is suggested as the other as he is eager to manage in the Premier League.

Terzic is without a club after deciding to step down as Borussia Dortmund boss following defeat to Real Madrid in June's Champions League final.

Edin Terzic would be a risky Everton managerial appointment

Appointing Terzic on the back of guiding Dortmund to the Champions League final, as well as going close to winning the Bundesliga a year before, would have been an exciting appointment in the summer.

However, the situation has changed just four games into the campaign as the Toffees are rock bottom of the table and cannot afford to make a risky next appointment.

This is assuming Dyche is axed, although he does have another chance to redeem himself when Everton head to Leicester City later on Saturday (21 September).

If Dyche does go, Moyes seems like the most logical replacement, even if that appointment would not go down all that well with the entire fanbase.

It is interesting to see a third candidate linked with the position in Terzic, which may well be down to the German's representatives sticking his name out there.

One way or another, the picture could become clearer come full-time against Leicester.
