Bryan King has speculated that David Moyes and Gareth Southgate could form a "dream" Everton partnership.

And according to Give Me Sport (23 September), Dan Friedkin has spoken to Southgate about becoming Everton manager, should he complete a takeover at Goodison Park.

Therefore, King - speaking exclusively to Goodison News - has speculated that both Southgate and Moyes could form a "dream" partnership.

“There is talk of Moyes coming back in a director’s role,” King said.

“Perhaps Southgate working together with Moyes in a more senior director’s role could be the dream ticket. However, would Southgate and Moyes want to work together?

“There are lots of questions which need to be answered.”

David Moyes and Gareth Southgate to work alongside each other at Everton?

Moyes did a lot for the Toffees during his time at the club. Therefore, fans could rest assured in the knowledge that he would give his all for them, should he make a return.

While a behind-the-scenes role might be unfamiliar for the Scotsman, his working alongside Southgate could be an unconventional yet effective solution to Everton's troubles.
