Seamus Coleman's longer-than-expected return from injury for Everton could have something to do with his age, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that there will be a lot of wear and tear on the 35-year-old's body, making it even more difficult for him to return to full fitness.

This comes after Sean Dyche confirmed on 19 September that the club aren't sure about the timeline but it's taking longer than expected.

"Based on the comments made by Dyche, Coleman’s recovery has taken longer than expected and there’s no current timeline on his return.

"Why? That’s difficult to say but there’s always the possibility for it.

"His age could play a factor in it as there is certainly more wear and tear on his body at this point.

"I see him missing the next few weeks and he’ll probably not be ready to play the full 90 minutes until November."

Seamus Coleman may not be the same for Everton again

The right-back has battled several injury issues of late and given his age, it's certainly going to take a toll on him.

The intensity of the Premier League is such that it may take a lot for him to play the full 90 minutes week in and week out.

Given the delays in his return, it could be something more serious and the club will be extra careful before giving him the green signal to return.
