Giovanni van Bronckhorst on Everton radar as Sean Dyche sack decision weighed up
Besiktas manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst is on the radar of Everton as a potential option to replace Sean Dyche, according to Dirilis Postasi.
The Turkish outlet – who have 178k followers on X – shared via their website (9 October) that the Toffees are “almost certain” to part ways with Dyche after his below-par start to the season.
Van Bronckhorst initially rejected Everton’s offer to coach them but if things continue to go south at his current club Besiktas, the Dutchman could “green light” the move.
Everton should keep Sean Dyche
Everton started the season in disappointing fashion but have picked up five points from their past three matches and, truthfully, it feels as though Dyche is still the right man to lead this team at this moment in time.
Dyche managed to guide his team through to the other side and, in the end comfortably, avoided relegation from the top flight once again last term despite two separate points deductions for PSR breaches.
Everton’s performances from last term haven’t quite picked up from where they left off, but things have started to take a turn for the better in recent weeks.
The Merseyside outfit managed to bag their first Premier League win of the season after a 2-1 home victory over Crystal Palace on 28 September thanks to an inspired performance from Dwight McNeil and then earned a hugely valuable point with a goalless draw against Newcastle prior to the international break.

It marks a huge improvement from the four defeats Everton registered to start the season and any talk of replacing Dyche at this juncture feels a little misguided, especially considering Van Bronckhorst enjoyed a torrid time at Rangers in the past.
Not only does this show Dyche’s tactics are working but it shows that he’s also starting to get the best out of his team, meaning his exit would make little sense despite the recent scrutiny he’s faced.
