Everton transfer news as Silas Katompa Mvumpa update shared
Everton are not planning to pursue a deal for VfB Stuttgart forward Silas Katompa Mvumpa, according to TEAMtalk.
The news outlet reported on their website [9 October] that despite reports linking the on-loan Red Star Belgrade winger to Goodison Park [Florian Plettenberg], the Blues do not have any outstanding interest in pursuing a move.
Kevin Thelwell brought in Iliman Ndiaye, Jack Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom to bolster the ranks for the Toffees in the summer window.
However, with the impending takeover by The Friedkin Group, the club will seemingly be looking to recruit further in the January transfer market.
Everton will be active despite Silas Katompa Mvumpa snub
Sean Dyche was blessed with a plethora of new signings throughout the summer despite the Blues’ ongoing financial woes, but the same old story has developed at Goodison Park this season.
Everton are seemingly back on track with one win against Crystal Palace and two draws against Leicester City and Newcastle United in their last three outings, but a run of four consecutive losses to begin the campaign has left the club two points above the relegation zone.
Ndiaye is proving to be excellent business with his early season performances, while the decision to move Dwight McNeil into a more central role has revolutionised the side, but there is still a glaring weakness on the right flank.

Lindstrom has failed to catch the eye in the Premier League thus far and Harrison hasn’t performed any better, so Everton adding more goals to their game with another quality addition on the right wing would elevate the side tenfold.
With African forward Mvumpa ruled out and reported target Wilfried Gnonto a no-go after his contract extension with Leeds United, the options for an affordable option are dwindling for the Blues.
Thelwell will have his work cut out for him in the coming months to identify a quality forward who will be available midway through the season, and one who is also one willing to make the move to Goodison Park.
