Miguel Almiron not happy at Newcastle United as Everton transfer boost drops
Everton may have moved a step closer to signing Miguel Almiron after his agent suggested he is unhappy at Newcastle United.
The Toffees looked to bring the Paraguay international in on deadline day of the most recent window but a deal was unlikely at the time and never went through [Ed Aarons].
This interest doesn’t appear to have gone away with Sean Dyche’s side still potentially tempted to make a January move for the Magpies’ forward [TEAMtalk].
The 30-year-old’s agent has revealed that his client is unhappy at St James’ Park and despite being ready to fight for his spot, appropriate action will be taken if an offer comes in.
Miguel Almiron transfer to Everton now on cards
The ex-Atlanta United star has had an up-and-down spell since moving to the Premier League and appears to be in a lull after making just five appearances in the Premier League this season.
Now it seems that his agent, Daniel Campos, is keen to look at a possible move in the January transfer window with Everton potentially interested.
Speaking on Radio La Red on 15 November, he said: “Although Miguel is not happy with the minutes he has in England, he wants to stay and fight for it at Newcastle. The coach (Eddie Howe) always supported him.
“When he made a request, he asked him not to leave. It must be a tactical or temporary issue. He has a valid contract. The link was renewed last year for three more (June 2027), and with the new owners of the club.
“Miguel does not despair about money issues or doing crazy things. If there is an offer from a team, we will go through the appropriate channels.”

The Toffees aren’t necessarily in need of a winger right now but there is no doubt that the Newcastle man would add a point of difference to the squad.
His pace and directness could prove to be a useful weapon compared to the likes of Dwight McNeil and Jesper Lindstrom who prefer to cut inside and play more centrally.
Dyche may be put off by his lack of physicality and consistency which has led Howe to move him out of the squad in recent months.
If the interest is there from the Toffees, then this update from his agent could be the green light to sign Almiron.
