Graham Potter, who has been linked with the Everton job, is the favourite to take over at Leicester City, according to Alan Myers.

The Sky Sports news editor reported on 25 November that Sean Dyche retains the support of Farhad Moshiri and the focus of the Friedkin Group is to complete the takeover and get the green signal from the Premier League.

Myers wrote: "Former Brighton and Chelsea boss Graham Potter has been strongly linked with Everton but he's now a favourite for the newly vacant position at Leicester City.

"I'm told TFG are fully concentrating on completing the Premier League ownership process and getting their administration positions lined up ahead of a mid-December deal completion."

Sean Dyche will be at Everton until the takeover is completed

The likelihood of Dyche being sacked is currently low due to strategic and financial considerations.

There will be compensation required to terminate his contract and that may be viewed as an expense that might not sit well with Everton's current financial situation or the incoming Friedkin Group's plans.

Farhad Moshiri would be more focused on facilitating the takeover by TFG than on intervening in managerial decisions at this juncture.

His interest lies in expediting the transition of ownership, particularly with the Premier League's approval process for the takeover in progress.

Once the Friedkin Group assume control, expected around mid-December, they might have different views on management, but until then, stability is probably preferred to prevent further financial outlay and to keep the team's focus on performance rather than change.

It's certainly not what the Evertonians want as they've grown sick and tired of the team's style of football.
