Bryan King claims David Moyes would be interested in a return to Everton Football Club.

The ex-Toffees scout, who worked closely with Moyes at Goodison Park, thinks a return to the club would be ideal for the out-of-work manager, with the Friedkin Group considering appointing the Scotsman once they complete their takeover [via Alan Nixon, 8 December].

Henry Winter has added fuel to the fire after what the journalist exclusively told Goodison News [14 December] about Moyes returning to Everton

And King - speaking exclusively to Goodison News - thinks the 61-year-old might be exactly who the Toffees need.

"I think David would be very interested," King said.

"Everton is a big love of his. He built that club into something challenging in the top half of the Premier League table every year. He got them into Europe, into a final, bought players for small money and sold them for big profits.

"I think someone like him is needed at Goodison Park. Managing the football club would also be ideal for Moyes with the right team around him."

David Moyes to return to Everton?

The Friedkin Group could potentially complete their takeover within days [via Alan Myers, 18 December]. Therefore, if the US-based group are considering Moyes, approaches could be made soon.

However, it feels as though that would be particularly harsh on Sean Dyche, especially after Everton's most recent result, a 0-0 draw away to Arsenal in the Premier League [14 December].

After that performance, the current Everton boss is likely to have bought himself some more time.

However, if the Toffees continue to struggle, the Friedkin Group could look to make changes.

And it appears as though Moyes is one of the most likely candidates to replace Dyche in the hot seat at Goodison Park.
