Sean Dyche to axe Harrison in two changes – Everton predicted XI v Bournemouth

Sean Dyche could axe Jack Harrison from his Everton starting XI in two changes to his side for the clash against Bournemouth on Saturday.

The Englishman was hooked at half-time against Nottingham Forest and, as a result, the Toffees boss could hand Jesper Lindstrom his seventh start of the season on 4 January.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin may also be set to come back into the side, potentially replacing Armando Broja who started at Goodison on Sunday (29 December).

These two changes could help Dyche’s side to be better going forward against tough opposition on the South Coast.

Regardless of any changes being made to the side, Jordan Pickford looks set to start once again as he almost always does for the Toffees.

Ahead of the England international, Dyche may keep faith in the same backline that conceded two against Forest with Jarrad Branthwaite and James Tarkowski potentially partnering up once again.

This duo could be flanked by Vitaliy Mykolenko and Ashley Young as Dyche looks to make the most out of a settled back four on Merseyside.

The ex-Burnley boss could also utilise the same midfield three that started against Forest for the trip to the Vitality stadium. This could see Orel Mangala and Idrissa Gueye start just behind the more advanced Abdoulaye Doucoure.

Despite changes to the forward line, Iliman Ndiaye can be confident of maintaining his starting role after an all-action performance in the Forest defeat.

Forward areas is where a risk needs to be taken and as a result, bringing Lindstrom in could be wise especially with Harrison being described as “woeful” by Liverpool Echo journalist Tony Scott on X (4 December) in recent weeks.

Similarly, Calvert-Lewin coming back into the side could prove to be a match-winning alteration for the L4 club, if he has the desired impact while leading the line against the Cherries.
