David Moyes to Everton: Immediate update emerges after Sean Dyche sack
David Moyes is set to be of interest to Everton to replace Sean Dyche, Paul Joyce has said.
The Times journalist shared the immediate update after The Friedkin Group sacked Dyche at Goodison Park on Thursday 9 January.
The American group are already said to be in talks with candidates to take over (Fabrizio Romano), with Leighton Baines and Seamus Coleman in charge against Peterborough tonight.
David Moyes to be appointed by Everton
This would be an incredible turn of events.
After so many years apart and two spells at West Ham which led to them tasting European success in the Conference League, Moyes’ return would be a party.
Dyche deserves credit for keeping the Toffees in the Premier League through financial struggle and points deductions, but he had gone as far as he could.
Moyes did recently admit that he doesn’t want to fight relegation in his next role, but many believe that doesn’t include a return to Goodison Park.

A morale-boosting heavy victory is needed over Peterborough in the FA Cup at Goodison, and then attention can switch back to the Premier League.
With Moyes potentially in charge before games against Aston Villa, Tottenham and Brighton, a new manager bounce will certainly be needed.
All eyes are on the Friedkins, who proved today that anything can happen within a blink now.
In other Everton news, The Friedkin Group have pumped £289million into the club in January.
