Mikel Arteta sack: Arsenal prediction emerges after Everton announcement
Mikel Arteta could be the next Premier League manager to be sacked after Everton got rid of Sean Dyche, Stan Collymore has joked.
The pundit joked that the Spaniard may need to fear his future at the Emirates after Julen Lopetegui and Dyche were relieved of their duties.
Collymore’s club, Aston Villa face West Ham, Everton and Arsenal in their next three matches, and he quipped whether Arteta could be the next to go to continue the trend.
While sharing a screenshot of the Villans’ next three fixtures, Collymore wrote on his personal X account (9 January): “It couldn’t happen, could it…”
Arsenal to sack Mikel Arteta?
With the Blues just one point above the relegation zone, The Friedkin Group (TFG) were arguably right to get rid of Dyche, but Arteta won’t be following.
What the Americans now need to do is decide on who will be given the reins to secure the Toffees’ English top-flight status.
The former Burnley manager had a reputation for helping his teams survive the drop, but the Goodison faithful weren’t confident about their prospects this time around.
Everton are set to move to Bramley-Moore Dock for the start of the upcoming campaign, and it will be embarrassing for them to start the new season in the Championship, with games against the likes of Arsenal what the stadium deserves.

The Toffees’ supporters have high hopes for TFG after Farhad Moshiri’s departure, but failure in the coming months will likely turn the fans against the new owners.
Dyche was on thin ice already before the Friedkins arrived, and the Englishman was lucky to survive as long as he did.
At Roma, Dan Friedkin had a revolving door policy regarding managers, but that can’t be repeated at the Blues.
In other Everton news, Paulo Fonseca could be the new manager after a Sky Sports update.
