TFG take Everton ‘back to days of Moshiri’ already after Everton bombshell
Bryan King has accused The Friedkin Group of acting like Farhad Moshiri after Sean Dyche was sacked as Everton manager.
The ex-Goodison scout has praised Dyche for the job he did while in charge after it was reported by Alan Myers via Sky Sports News (9 January, 12:23 pm), that the 53-year-old had been sacked by the Toffees just hours ahead of their FA Cup clash with Peterborough United at Goodison Park (9 January).
Sky Sports’ update also went on to share who will be in charge for that third-round clash, with Dyche’s dismissal having come so close to kick-off.
And despite the unusual timing of this announcement, King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – has insisted that nothing surprises him in football anymore.
“If I was Dyche, I’d have been waiting for that for the last six months,” King said,
“He has done the job as well as anybody can under the pressure has has been under. When you’re being deducted points, through no fault of your own, I thought he did a good job of continuing to work under those circumstances.
“I think Dyche was the kind of guy who realised that when this new consortium came in, they’d be looking to bring someone else in. It is not an easy job being a manager.
“Everton are playing tonight, but nothing surprises me in football anymore because half of the people running football clubs aren’t English and the Americans seem to want instant success. It seems like The Friedkin Group are going back to the days of Moshiri. Since he took over, I think they had four or five managers, I hope it isn’t going to all start again with this lot.”
The Friedkin Group sack Sean Dyche at Everton
While few supporters will be surprised that Dyche has been sacked, there will be some shock about the timing of the announcement.
It could perhaps be considered a little disrespectful to the Englishman after his service at Goodison Park.

Therefore, the Friedkin Group must ensure they get their next appointment spot on after such a big decision, with a Sky Sports journalist predicting two contenders for the job [via Sky Sports News, 9 January].
