Alan Pardew is "delighted" to see David Moyes back at Everton after they beat Tottenham in the Premier League on Sunday.

The talkSPORT pundit is happy to see the Scotsman return to Goodison Park, sealing his first win with a 3-2 victory against Spurs on Sunday (19 January).

Pardew labelled the former West Ham boss as a "great manager," as evidenced by his managerial record over the years.

Speaking on talkSPORT (19 January, 19:15), Pardew said: "Moyes comes out of West Ham. All the fans wanted him out even though he won a trophy. Now at Everton, he gets a great result.

"Even Ross, our engineer, is absolutely delighted that Moyes is back. And I am because he's a great manager, and his record and CV speak for itself."

David Moyes return brings delight at Everton

The Goodison faithful were delighted to see Moyes return after The Friedkin Group (TFG) decided to sack Sean Dyche.

After a disappointing 1-0 loss to Aston Villa on 15 January, the Scottish manager bounced back in fine fashion, beating Ange Postecoglou.

The 61-year-old managed to bring the best out of Dominic Calvert-Lewin as he finally found the back of the net to open the scoring against Spurs.

Everton have struggled in the attacking third this season, and it's encouraging to see Moyes change things up.

The Toffees will need more such performances from their centre-forward as they look to avoid relegation to the Championship.

Once the Blues survive the drop, the Goodison faithful will be looking forward to what the Scotsman can do moving forward at Bramley Moore Dock.

At West Ham, the 61-year-old won the Europa Conference League title, and the Friedkins will undoubtedly hope for something similar as they look to make a mark in English football.
