Richard Keys insists "you won't see a clearer pen" than the one Everton had turned down in their win over Leicester City.

The veteran broadcaster believes the Toffees should have had a spot-kick for Jannik Vestergaard's foul on Beto during their 4-0 win on 1 February.

With the Guinean forward through on goal, Leicester defender Vestergaard clattered into him, but no penalty was awarded.

Keys wrote on his personal X account (1 February): "I'm afraid we've seen another couple of shockers today. What is Darren England thinking? He's guessed. There's no evidence to prove he was correct.

"While at Everton — wow — you won't see a clearer pen. And why a 2'50 delay at Forest for a 'clear and obvious' decision."

Everton ease past Leicester at Goodison Park

David Moyes has his team playing some dominant football lately, and the Goodison faithful were once again in for a treat as Abdoulaye Doucoure scored one of the fastest goals in Premier League history 10 seconds after kick-off.

Beto quickly doubled the lead before completing his brace just after 45 minutes.

Iliman Ndiaye also reaped the rewards for his efforts to find the back of the net in stoppage time to complete a resounding victory over Ruud van Nistelrooy's team.

Everton eased past the Foxes, and while the fans won't be bothered about the penalty claim, there was some weight behind Beto's calls.

Moyes has turned the tide at the Blues regarding the attack, as they were one of the worst goalscoring teams under Sean Dyche.

The Toffees have scored in each of their last three Premier League fixtures, though, and the strikers seem more comfortable in the Scottish manager's system.

While Moyes' start to life on his return to the Merseyside outfit has been fruitful, it remains to be seen whether the team will be able to sustain their form in the long run.
