Everton ‘may sell Beto’ if certain Goodison Park development happens

Everton will be prepared to sell Beto if they sign a centre-forward before the winter transfer window closes, according to Tuttosport.

The news outlet reported on Saturday (1 February) that the Toffees will be open to selling the Guinean striker if they get a new number nine before the 3 February deadline.

If an attacker is signed, the 27-year-old will return on the transfer market per his desires and the Blues’ plans.

Torino are still interested in the former Udinese ace and will try to buy him once again in the coming hours.

Everton should rebuff Beto transfer to Torino

As the clock ticks down, the Merseyside outfit would be wise to reject any approach from the Italian club for Beto.

As things stand, the Guinean star is the only fit natural striker at David Moyes’ disposal at Goodison Park.

Youssef Chermiti has hardly been seen at the Toffees this season due to his consistent fitness issues.

Everton have also been unable to rely on Armando Broja since his loan move from Chelsea last summer, with the Albanian striker also injured.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin also picked up a knock and has been out of action in recent matches, so Beto’s availability is of prime importance.

The Blues seemingly can’t let go of the 27-year-old, even if they bolster their attack soon.

While a new number nine would arguably be a welcome addition at Goodison, the Merseysiders should keep a hold of Beto to maintain squad depth.

The Guinean is in good form at the moment, scoring a brace as the Toffees beat Leicester City 4-0 at home on Saturday, and his goals could definitely come in handy until the end of the season.
