Moyes wants last-ditch Truffert deal at Everton amid £20m funding update
David Moyes has identified Stade Rennais left-back Adrien Truffert as a defensive transfer target at Everton, according to Alan Nixon.
The newspaper journalist reported via his Patreon (2 February) that Moyes is keen to bring Truffert to Goodison Park in an attempt to alleviate concerns at left-back with Vitalii Mykolenko his main option.
Truffert is said to be keen on a move to the Premier League with the Frenchman valued at around £20million although Moyes wants to prioritise a loan signing. Everton could find the money if needed.
With just over a day remaining until the 3 February deadline, Everton will need to move fast if they are to secure Truffert in a bid to strengthen their hopes of achieving survival.
Everton are running out of time to secure additions
With the transfer window slamming shut at 11pm on 3 February, Everton don’t have an awful lot of time remaining to secure some reinforcements this winter, of which they managed none so far.
Of course, all of that could change imminently with a deal for Carlos Alcaraz expected to be finalized before the deadline [Bruno Lemos] with the Toffees evidently keen on strengthening elsewhere as well.
Any arrivals between now and then will provide the Merseysiders with a big boost in their bid to avoid Premier League relegation which as things stand, they look on course to do.

Results over the weekend mean that Everton have a nine-point cushion on the bottom three, with a game in hand on all of those below them, now just seven points outside of the top 10.
While Moyes has done a remarkable job since taking over from Sean Dyche, he will be eager to see a few new faces through the door to improve their chances even further.
