Everton can finally put their PSR issues to bed after being cleared by the Premier League recently, Dan Plumley has said.

The football finance expert admitted that the Toffees can move forward under The Friedkin Group, despite strong rumours some Premier League clubs were still under the spotlight.

Everton were cleared of all outstanding PSR charges, including questions about the interest payments on Bramley Moore Dock (David Ornstein, 17 January).

Despite this, it was a quiet winter transfer window for David Moyes, who eventually welcomed Carlos Alcaraz on loan, with Plumley admitting all issues have now been put to bed.

"We were waiting with bated breath on the Premier League verdict on PSR," he exclusively told Goodison News.

"There were strong rumours that some clubs were still under the spotlight, albeit Leicester seemed to be the one on everybody's lips rather than Everton.

"It is a relief, and you think now you can probably put that to bed, from what we can see, and the issue with the stadium as well and what we know about the restructuring of the balance sheet.

After leaving Sean Dyche behind for Moyes, things have finally started looking up.

The Friedkins have steered away from PSR troubles and Everton have won three consecutive games in the Premier League, taking them miles away from relegation trouble.

Moyes also helped in the winter transfer window, not wanting to waste funds on players who wouldn't improve his squad straight away despite injury issues (iNews).
