Liverpool told what they will not be given by Everton in Goodison Park rooms
Everton and Liverpool contesting the final Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park on Wednesday is set to be a historic occasion.
Evertonians the world over will have their eyes firmly fixated on the blue side of Stanley Park on 12 February, as the Grand Old Lady hosts one of English football’s biggest fixtures for the very last time.
The Toffees will next meet Liverpool in their brand new home at Bramley-Moore Dock on the city’s waterfront, and Wednesday night’s match is expected to be an emotional occasion for the hosts.
Liverpool will undoubtedly play their part as they aim to avoid a repeat of last season’s 2-0 loss, but if their fans – and even their players – also get overwhelmed by the occasion, they may be caught short.
Liverpool told to bring own toilet roll ahead of Everton clash
As Liverpool’s players get ready to face the fervent atmosphere of Goodison for the final time, they’ll be getting changed and finalising their preparations for the match in dressing rooms like no other.
The Daily Mail report as of 11 February that the Reds will have just six showers (heated by a single pipe) to use, as well as no sound-proofing and no toilet paper in the away dressing rooms either.
Everton make all clubs bring their own to the dressing rooms for “hygiene reasons”, and while this likely won’t be the case at Bramley-Moore Dock, it’s something visitors to Goodison must be accustomed to.
Everton preparing for historic Merseyside Derby v Liverpool
Make no bones about it – this match will forever be etched in the annuls of history for both Evertonians and Kopites as the last time fans from the red half of the city crossed the Stanley Park divide.
Postponed from its initial date on 7 December due to Storm Darragh hitting the Liverpool region hard, Wednesday’s match will be under the lights at Goodison – a perfect scenario for the home fans.

Last season’s home derby also fell into a midweek slot, as Sean Dyche’s side produced one of their best performances of the campaign to topple the title-chasing Reds 2-0 and inflict defeat on Jurgen Klopp.
This term, however, Arne Slot’s Liverpool side sit six points clear at the top of the Premier League, and despite David Moyes‘ Blues being in a strong run of form themselves, they pose a much tougher test.
Liverpool will view the Toffees’ lack of toilet paper, L-shaped dressing rooms and lack of amenities as mind games, but all build into the old-school feel which Goodison is looking to give off for one final time.
