Sutton baffled by player's comments live on BBC after Everton 1-1 West Ham United
Everton secured a late draw in the Premier League clash with West Ham on Saturday.
The Blues extended their unbeaten run under David Moyes to nine matches with Jake O'Brien rescuing a point at the death on 15 March.
The Toffees thought they had a penalty in the first half of the Goodison Park contest but VAR showed that Beto had went down under minimal contact.
Tomas Soucek gave the Hammers the lead before the defender, who has enjoyed a run in the side under Moyes, popped up with a late strike to salvage a positive result.
Chris Sutton fires back at Jake O'Brien claims
Straight after the contest, O'Brien claimed in his post-match interview that the Blues had a lot of chances in the first 45 minutes, but Sutton disagreed with that comment.
Speaking on BBC Final Score (15 March, 17:15 pm), Sutton said: "I'm not quite in agreement with Jake O'Brien about they had a lot of chances in the first half.
"I can't remember [Alphonse] Areola being troubled."
O'Brien enjoying Moyes rejuvenation
Arguably nobody involved with Everton is enjoying Moyes' comeback more than the 23-year-old, who signed for the Goodison Park outfit last summer.
The Ireland international made just two Premier League appearances under Sean Dyche, featuring for a total of just 34 minutes despite his £16million move from French outfit Lyon.

However, under the Scotsman, he has been a regular albeit in a makeshift right-back role, starting the last nine league games and notching two goals in his last three against Brentford and the Irons.
Both Moyes and O'Brien deserve plaudits for the Blues star's recent performances and it is hard to understand the reasons that led to Dyche not utilising him more, especially given Ashley Young's age and the fact that Nathan Patterson was not rated by the former Burnley man either.
The long-term right-back spot seems like it is his to lose at Everton as they make the move to Bramley-Moore Dock with Young and Seamus Coleman's contracts expiring in the summer and Patterson not getting a look in under either manager.
The Toffees will be keen to maintain their momentum ahead of the new era and keeping O'Brien in the starting line-up will only serve to help that ambition given his recent displays.
