Richarlison to be ‘marquee Everton signing’ to kickstart life at Bramley-Moore Dock

Everton are set to begin a new era as move into their new stadium, and a marquee signing would be the perfect welcome to their new ground.

The Toffees are leaving the iconic Goodison Park at the end of this season, to move into the world-class facilities provided at new stadium Bramley-Moore Dock.

The return of David Moyes has helped Everton steer well clear of the relegation zone, and the mood around the club has been significantly lifted.

There is a lot of work to do in the transfer window though, but another former Everton hero returning to the club could be exactly what the Blues need as they aim to climb further up the table.

Everton could re-sign Richarlison this summer

Brazil striker Richarlison was a cult hero at Everton before he moved to Tottenham in the summer of 2022, but it has not been plain sailing for him in North London.

The 27-year-old has scored 18 times in 80 matches for Spurs, but has fallen down the pecking order under Ange Postecoglou.

Reports from Brazil suggested that Richarlison could be headed for the exit door this summer, but that he wants to remain in Europe rather than returning to South America.

This could open the door for Everton to sensationally bring him back, for a marquee homecoming as Everton move into the new ground.

Richarlison could be ideal for David Moyes

Everton need to strengthen their attack this summer, but striker Beto has hit a different level of form since Moyes returned to the club.

Moyes is clearly a lot better at getting his forwards firing than Sean Dyche was before him, and the prospect of Richarlison returning to his best form at Everton is a mouthwatering one.

Richarlison could lead the line on his own, or play alongside Beto out wide, and would add extra speed, height and a goal threat which Everton have lacked at times.

For the striker, a return to the club where he scored 53 goals could be the perfect way to get his career back on track.

Richarlison is still supportive of Everton on social media, and recruiting Brazil’s number nine would certainly be a strong way to welcome fans to the new stadium next season.
