Friedkins ready ‘top quality’ Everton transfers for David Moyes – Exclusive

Everton had a quieter January transfer window than David Moyes would have liked this season, but they have still comfortably established themselves ready for next term.

With the Toffees only seeing two more home fixtures separating them from the move to Bramley-Moore Dock, The Friedkin Group have already shown their ambitious side by reinstating Moyes as manager having only been in the door barely three weeks.

TFG have demonstrated their keen and ruthless side and a desire for rapid success, which could convince Everton fans their side are in for an exciting summer window.

Everton out for ‘top-quality players’ this summer, says expert

Everton signed only one player in the winter window as they were strapped by the very PSR concerns which plagued them for eight points last season.

Carlos Alcaraz on loan became the only first-team recruit through the door, but Moyes has turned around the form of several Toffees stars who had previously been struggling, a move which has masked the quiet January.

TV commentator Ian Darke believes Moyes and Friedkin will be far busier in the summer transfer window and expects the board to healthily fund what the manager desires for his squad.

Darke also added that the core leadership group on Merseyside should not all be broken up at once, however, with several long-serving stars out of contract this June.

“If Everton are getting top-quality players with a heavy influence from Moyes on who they get, that can surely only be seen as good news,” Darke exclusively told Goodison News.

“You don’t want to tip the baby out with the bathwater – they should keep the nucleus of what they’ve got – but they should still bring in as much quality as they can if they want to go for the top half of the table next season.”

Goodison Park has two games left, and so may several stars

Everton supporters will shed a tear or two in the next four weeks or so, as the curtain comes down on Goodison Park.

Generations of families out of Liverpool and beyond will be left only with cherished memories, and it could be the case that several players synonymous with the Old Lady’s final years could be on their way out, too.

Seamus Coleman has been part of the squad since Moyes’ previous reign, and though he is likely to remain involved with the Toffees, could see his playing days in blue come to an end.

Everton have five Premier League games remaining – just two at Goodison Park

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Idrissa Gueye all have just two months left on their own deals, with Ashley Young seemingly not ready to hang up the boots yet as he turns 40 this summer. He, too, is out of contract.

Everton will look to give the Gwladys Street the farewell it deserves when they face Ipswich Town and Southampton, two sides who will be relegated after the final games of the season.

And it could be the old guard who wave goodbye to the supporters as well, with a potentially pivotal summer of recruitment in prospect.
