Everton are set for multiple changes to the club this summer as The Friedkin Group asserts their control over the Toffees.

It is no doubt going to be an exciting summer for the Goodison Park faithful. The club are set to move into their new stadium ahead of the upcoming campaign, as a new era begins at the Toffees.

The recent takeover at the club has also increased optimism further.

The Friedkin Group look set to invest in the squad this summer to help shoot the Toffees back up the table.

Everton have been linked with Liam Delap, in what would be a sensational move as well as a potential move for Tomas Soucek.

On top of this, the club is also making a series of decisions off the field, as the club’s head of recruitment is set to leave.

Everton’s head of recruitment Dan Purdy set to leave

Everton have made some big changes since The Friedkin Group took over the club.

Recently, there have been multiple senior chiefs who have left, as an overhaul begins at the club.

Now, another senior figure is expected to leave ahead of the summer.

According to Alan Myers on Sky Sports (1 May), Everton’s head of recruitment, Dan Purdy, will leave the club this week.

Purdy was highly thought of at the Toffees and was expected to stay despite the takeover. However, it now appears that he will leave the club.

Multiple changes are needed at Everton

Over the last decade, Everton’s decline has been staggering. The club were consistently fighting for Europe and even the Champions League not too long ago.

Yet, for the past few seasons, mere survival in the Premier League has often been credited as a good campaign.

While many of these senior chiefs may have done a good job with the resources they had, if the club are to progress up the table, they must start with a clean slate.

Everton needs to be back in the European fold; they have the resources to do this, now it is about their execution.
