Liam Delap ‘has already spoken with Ben Godfrey’ as Everton chase transfer
Ben Godfrey may have already spoken with Liam Delap amid transfer interest from Everton in the Ipswich Town striker.
The former Toffees defender joined the Tractor Boys on loan from Atalanta in the winter transfer window and has played alongside the English centre-forward this season.
David Moyes wants to sign Delap at the Merseyside outfit, but it remains to be seen whether the Scottish manager will succeed.
It’s now been claimed that Godfrey could potentially have already talked to the former Manchester City youngster about a move to Bramley-Moore Dock.

Godfrey has already told Delap about Everton amid Everton transfer interest
Godfrey may have already told Delap a lot about the Toffees amid interest in him, Michael Ball says.
The ex-English defender believes the centre-forward will potentially be conversing with people associated with the clubs wanting to sign him.

Ball expects the former Manchester City ace to now know all about what it means to be at the Merseyside outfit after Ipswich drew at Goodison Park on Saturday (3 May).
The former right-back wrote in the Echo (6 May): “If you know your future is going to be elsewhere, you’re going to be talking to everybody you know about certain clubs, whether it’s the managers, the coaches and the teammates you played with.
“I’m sure Ben will have told him a lot of stuff regarding what Everton Football Club is all about, but he’s actually witnessed it now and seen what Goodison is all about.”

Moyes needs new striker at Bramley-Moore Dock
Dominic Calvert-Lewin could leave Goodison Park at the end of the season once his contract expires.
The English centre-forward has been the first-choice striker at the Toffees over the years, but it looks like there will need to be a change in that department soon.
Armando Broja will also return to Chelsea, having signed for the Blues on a season-long loan from last summer.
Everton have relied on Beto in recent months, and while the Guinea-Bissau striker broke his goalscoring drought against Ipswich, Moyes needs a more reliable outlet up front.
Youssef Chermiti is another number nine who’s hardly been seen at Goodison Park in the current campaign due to his consistent fitness issues.
Delap has shown his qualities since moving to the Tractor Boys, and with Kieran McKenna’s team set for relegation, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the striker leave in the coming months.
While the 22-year-old English centre-forward will arguably attract interest from top teams this summer, The Friedkin Group (TFG) should do everything possible to make him the face of Moyes’ project at the new stadium.
