Everton table bid as Jerome Opoku transfer now matter of time at Goodison
David Moyes has achieved exactly what he set out to do with Everton, securing Premier League survival with some ease.
Having turned the Toffees’ fortunes around, The Friedkin Group will now be ready to back the boss in the summer transfer window in the hope of looking towards further progress.
There are plenty of areas on the pitch where Everton need to strengthen, with the difficulties of the previous ownership having now caught up with them.
Jerome Opoku could be the first new face through the door for the new era.

Everton set to seal Opoku transfer
With nothing left to play for this season, it’s no surprise that Moyes has already turned his attention to the summer transfer window.
There will be plenty of work to be done and, although TFG will be able to offer more investment than the Blues have had for some time, Everton have to be sustainably minded too in order to build a successful future.
Everton’s first addition of the window is said to be close, though, with Africa Foot reporting (7 May) that the Toffees have made a bid for Opoku already.
The Ghana international currently plays for Istanbul Basaksehir, where he has made 29 appearances this term and now the Blues are keen to bring him to England.

The report states that Everton have already submitted an offer of £3.3million, in the hope of his current club allowing the centre-back to exit.
The move is said to be just a “matter of time” with negotiations already underway between representatives of both clubs for a concrete agreement.

Moyes ready to take Everton up the Premier League
It has been a tough few seasons for Everton supporters, but as they prepare to make a move to Bramley-Moore Dock at the end of the campaign and under new ownership, a new era is set to begin.
Ironically, it was the return of Moyes to Merseyside that seemed to solidify a move in the right direction for the Toffees and if the summer transfer business is done right, he will be eager to continue that progress.
TFG will be wary about how they spend their money with the knowledge that a sustainable long-term future is the goal, but the Scotsman should be able to make several additions to improve his squad.
The fact that business is already underway shows promising signs for supporters that they can expect to see serious ambitions to push on this summer.
