Everton are set for a huge summer in the transfer window.

The Friedkin Group are ready to back David Moyes to oversee a significant overhaul of the playing squad ahead of the new season.

That campaign will already be filled with excitement due to the move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium but with the right additions, it could be a very special year.

Everton set to conclude Alcaraz talks

Carlos Alcaraz was the Blues' only piece of business in January, as they brought the ex-Southampton man in on loan.

A report from Brazilian journalist Bruno Lemos (28 May) claims that the Toffees should conclude negotiations with Flamengo by Friday (30 May).

It states that there is a great chance for the Merseysiders to complete the deal for the 22-year-old.

Paul Joyce, citing Leiticia Marques, had claimed via his personal X account that the deal is expected to be in the region of £12.6million, which would represent a bargain for Everton.

Alcaraz would be a great first signing for Everton

It is a huge summer of change for Moyes and Co with the likes of Abdoulaye Doucoure, Ashley Young, Joao Virginia and Asmir Begovic leaving the Merseyside club.

Meanwhile, Jesper Lindstrom, Jack Harrison, Orel Mangala and Armando Broja will return to their parent clubs after the conclusion of their loan deals.

One player who may be sticking around though, is the Argentinian, with the Toffees expected to complete a permanent deal for his services despite him not featuring enough to trigger the permanent option in his loan deal.

The young attacking midfielder started seven times in the Premier League, scoring once and notching two assists in the final four matches of the campaign in an encouraging end to the season.

He has already endeared himself to the Blues fanbase in his short time with the club and it seems like he will have plenty more time to do so in the future.

The signing would be a major statement of intent from the new owners, especially if they can wrap a deal up early, leaving them to focus on other areas of need as the window progresses.
