Nick Woltemade agrees personal terms, five-year deal ready amid Everton pursuit
Everton have shown a keen interest in signing Nick Woltemade from Stuttgart this summer.
The Germany under-21 international is coming off the back of a defeat in the EUROs final on Saturday (29 June) as England U21 secured a second title on the bounce.
This now opens the striker up to agree a move as it looks highly likely that the new season will begin with him in new colours.
The Toffees and David Moyes have showcased an interest in the 23-year-old, who has now agreed terms ahead of a long-awaited summer transfer.

Woltemade agrees contract after Everton interest
It is fair to say that the German caught the eye in his debut season with the Bundesliga outfit after completing a free transfer move from Werder Bremen.
With 20 goal involvements across his 33 appearances, it is no surprise that the Evertonians are interested in his signature.
| Stat | Nick Woltemade |
| Appearances | 33 |
| Goals | 17 |
| Assists | 3 |
The L4 club are in desperate need of forward options after parting ways with both Armando Broja and Dominic Calvert-Lewin at the end of last campaign.
With that being said, it appears that Moyes is going to miss out on the Stuttgart man as a move elsewhere appears to be in the pipeline.
Fabrizio Romano reported on 29 June that Bayern Munich had reached an agreement on personal terms ahead of a five-year deal for Woltemade.
This won’t come as a surprise as the German giants always seem to hoover up the best talent from elsewhere in the division every year.
That won’t make the Toffees feel any less frustrated as their dreams of signing one of the brightest forward talents in Europe have been crushed.
Everton miss out on Woltemade to Bayern Munich
The German would have represented a risk, but in a footballing world of limited forward options, he could have represented a risk worth taking.
Moving to Merseyside to partner Beto could have been excellent for Everton, but it appears that a move is off the table for the Blues.
As a result, other targets will have to be assessed, and quick moves need to be made to avoid a repetition of this Woltemade situation.
This could see a speedy approach be made for Thierno Barry at Villarreal to add to the attacking depth under Moyes next season.
