Bakayoko misses PSV training camp with departure expected

Despite a drop-off in form last season, Johan Bakayoko is expected to be one of the bargains of the summer as he looks set to leave the Dutch giants.

The winger could be available for as little as £17.34million, with RB Leipzig the frontrunners, joined by Everton, Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth in the race for the 22-year-old.

It has now been reported that Bakayoko has not travelled to PSV’s training camp in Germany.

A move away from the Netherlands could reportedly be done as early as Monday (14 July), but it is RB Leipzig who are the current frontrunners for his signature.

Everton interested in Reguilon as left-back offered to Italian clubs

Former Tottenham left-back Sergio Reguilon is expected to be on the move this summer, having left Spurs as a free agent.

It has been reported that Everton, alongside Bournemouth and West Ham United, are interested interested in signing Reguilon.

Reguilon has also reportedly been offered to Serie A giants Juventus and AC Milan.

West Ham are showing the most interest so far, but should the Hammers sign El Hadji Malick Diouf, that move could be put on the back burner.

Wing-back is an area of concern for Moyes, having lost Ashley Young at the end of last season.

Everton close in on bargain Travers signing

Following the departure of Asmir Begovic at the end of last season, the Toffees’ goalkeeping department has been left short.

Moyes is now targeting Bournemouth goalkeeper Mark Travers to add competition for Jordan Pickford, with a move reportedly close.

The goalkeeper impressed while on loan at Middlesbrough in the second half of last season and has chosen to join the Blues, despite interest from elsewhere.

Speaking live on Sky Sports (14 July), reported Tom White described the move as a “bargain” for Everton, with his medical set for Monday afternoon.

White said: “Now, it’s quite cheap this fee. Everton are only going to be paying £4m, plus add-ons. They will feel like they have got a bargain there.”

Everton bid for Marco Asensio

Marco Asensio impressed while on loan with Aston Villa in the second half of last season.

He has now returned to PSG, but isn’t expected to stay there long, with the Spaniard attracting plenty of interest from across Europe.

It has now been reported that Everton did make an offer for Asensio. However, despite the Toffees’ shock efforts to persuade the 29-year-old to rejoin the Premier League, he has chosen to link up with Jose Mourinho at Fenerbahce.

Despite the winger choosing to go elsewhere, the attempts from Everton show that they are trying to push to another level next season.
