While getting to the games is tricky, given his job, one of the highlights of his life was watching (and crying) as the Black Cats defeated Sheffield United at Wembley Stadium last season.

Armando Broja endured a torrid time at Everton, but it does not seem to have affected his future.

Broja spent the entirety of last season on loan with Everton from Chelsea, but only made 10 Premier League appearances for the Toffees.

Chelsea are looking at options to sell Broja, and David Moyes' side had an option to acquire him permanently. However, it seems that the Albanian has some strong suitors if he does indeed depart Stamford Bridge during the window.

Broja has interest from European clubs after Everton exit

Chelsea are looking to sell Broja for just over £16million as a West London departure looks highly likely.

That news will spark relief among Everton supporters, as the Toffees had the option to buy the striker for £30m. Last season, Broja failed to bag a single goal in 11 appearances for the Merseyside outfit, although he only made four Premier League starts.

In truth, Broja suffered some serious injuries during his Everton stint. However, that has not put off potential suitors, and the 23-year-old appears to have multiple options this summer.

That is because RB Leipzig and Stuttgart have both expressed their interest in the Chelsea man, according to The Athletic (15 July).

Leipzig are preparing for the departures of Benjamin Sesko and Xavi Simmons, while Stuttgart have rejected approaches for Nick Woltemade. Chelsea are eyeing a permanent deal for Broja, and the striker is keen to find a new club.

Broja news surprising given Premier League record

Since coming through the youth ranks at Stamford Bridge, Broja has struggled to make an impact in the top flight. The Albanian international had spells with Southampton, Fulham, and Everton, but has never scored many goals.

His best spell came with the Saints during the 2021/22 season, where he netted nine league goals in all competitions. However, Broja has only managed three goals since then.

In the Premier League, the 23-year-old has eight goals in 76 appearances, which is not good enough for a forward. Of course, he has endured terrible luck with injury, but he would be fortunate to sign for Germany's top clubs.
