Everton could potentially be affected as Atalanta want Beto this summer transfer window.

The Guinea-Bissau centre-forward was key to the Toffees' plans last season, and will certainly be an important player for squad depth after Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Armando Broja's departures.

Atalanta have their eyes on Beto as they look to strengthen their attack after losing Mateo Retegui to Al-Qadsiah.

The Blues may demand £30million to sell the former Udinese star to the Serie A outfit, and he's seen as a realistic target by them.

Atalanta want Beto transfer

Atalanta are eyeing Beto as a replacement for Ademola Lookman, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

The news outlet reports (29 July) that the Serie A outfit are working on the Nigeria international's sale to Inter Milan and want £43m for him.

It's been claimed that in case of the 27-year-old's departure, La Dea are monitoring potential alternatives, with the Toffees' striker seen as a "more accessible" target.

It will be interesting to see whether the Blues will let Beto leave, having already lost Calvert-Lewin at the end of last season.

David Moyes should ask for Beto replacement before transfer is sanctioned

Atalanta may be able to afford Beto from the Toffees after potentially cashing in on Lookman, but David Moyes arguably needs him to stay.

The Blues haven't made many additions to their team this summer, and fans have grown a bit worried with the way The Friedkin Group (TFG) have operated.

Thierno Barry has been signed from Villarreal to bolster the attack, but the Scottish manager will undoubtedly need more options up front ahead of next season.

Everton have relatively thrived since Moyes' return, and he has done enough in recent months to have the American owners' full backing.

The Scottish manager shouldn't go into next season with Beto and Barry as the only two reliable options in the number nine position.

Youssef Chermiti hasn't lived up to expectations at the Merseyside outfit, and instead of selling Beto, another striker must be targeted in L5.
