Everton are looking for a fruitful first season at their new home ground, The Hill Dickinson Stadium.

David Moyes has done an incredible job replacing Sean Dyche, but he knows that the expectations will be high for the 2025/26 season.

The Friedkin Group are backing the Scotsman in the transfer market and will want to see their investments paying off.

Here, Goodison News makes three predictions for the upcoming campaign.

Moyes may be at risk of being sacked by Everton

Moyes faces intense pressure if his new signings fail to gel within 3-4 months.

Everton’s persistent issues of low chance creation, defensive fragility and lack of squad cohesion could worsen if the new players struggle to adapt to the Premier League’s intensity.

Sitting in the bottom five after a poor start would amplify fan frustration, given the Toffees' relegation battles in recent seasons.

Moyes’ pragmatic style may not deliver quick results, and with high expectations following his return, failure to integrate signings and address longstanding issues could put his job at risk.

Thierno Barry to struggle in first Premier League season

Thierno Barry, a big-money signing from Villarreal, faces challenges in his debut Premier League season.

Despite scoring 11 goals in La Liga, the 22-year-old’s adaptation to England’s physical, high-tempo style may be difficult.

His anxiousness to score after a dry spell could lead to poor composure under pressure, as seen with past Toffees strikers.

Everton’s low chance creation numbers may limit his service, while his disciplinary issues raise concerns.

With only a handful of years' experience, Barry’s integration into Moyes’ system and the Premier League’s intensity could hinder his immediate impact.

Adam Aznou to make left-back role his own after joining from Bayern Munich

Adam Aznou, a 19-year-old Morocco international, joined Everton from Bayern Munich for £7.8million, bringing versatility and attacking flair to the left-back role.

His La Masia-honed dribbling, pace, and ability to play both full-back positions make him a dynamic fit for Moyes’ system.

Despite limited senior appearances at Bayern, his 13 La Liga games on loan at Real Valladolid showcased his potential.

Everton’s lack of depth at left-back, following Ashley Young’s departure, positions Aznou to compete for a starting spot.

His aggressive defending and ball-carrying ability are expected to help him claim the role, enhancing Everton’s attacking transitions and making him a better fit there than Vitalii Mykolenko.
