Behind the scenes dressing room footage could show how Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye injured himself
Iliman Ndiaye has had a sensational start to the 2025-26 campaign with Everton.
The winger has already netted twice this season, contributing to both of the Toffees’ Premier League wins.
Ndiaye was particularly impressive in Everton’s victory over Wolves, where the winger netted the second goal in the 3-2 win.
Now, the 25-year-old has continued this form away from the Toffees. However, this may have come at a cost, with Ndiaye now a doubt for the Aston Villa match due to a knock.

Iliman Ndiaye slips over in Senegal win celebrations
During the international break, Ndiaye was called up for duty for Senegal for their World Cup qualifiers.
Here, the winger impressed, with Ndiaye being hailed for his performance for Senegal in their late 3-2 victory over the Democratic Republic of Congo.
As a result, the dressing room was obviously ecstatic about the win, as the West African side took one step closer to qualification for the 2026 World Cup.
- Ndiaye joined Everton in 2024 from Marseille
- The winger netted nine Premier League goals in his first season
- Ndiaye is already on track to better this in the current campaign
However, during the celebrations, Ndiaye may have got a bit ahead of himself.
In a video posted by LiveScore via X on 9 September, the winger appears to lose his footing while dancing, falling down. However, the winger quickly got back up and continued to dance (see 00:14).
It is unknown if this incident is directly linked to the winger’s knock, but given that he played during the week, it is likely due to something that happened after the match, and this dance could be the reason behind it.

Tyler Dibling to make full Everton debut vs Aston Villa?
Tyler Dibling was signed by Everton in the summer for a fee that could eventually reach £40million.
However, to date, he has only made one appearance for the Toffees, coming off the bench in their 2-0 victory over Mansfield.
Therefore, if Ndiaye is injured for the clash, surely Moyes will look to field Dibling in his place.
This could be a massive opportunity for the 19-year-old as he looks to quickly establish himself inside Everton’s starting XI.
