Everton are looking to get one over on Aston Villa on Saturday.

Everton have won two of their opening three Premier League matches, whereas the Villans have not recorded a single win yet.

Jack Grealish will be looking to continue his impressive Everton start, which has seen him named as the Premier League Player of the Month, against his former club.

However, there may be several stars missing for both sides when they meet at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on 13 September.

Nine potentially missing for Everton vs Aston Villa

Everton's Iliman Ndiaye looks set to miss the contest, and the Blues have several other injury issues heading into the game.

Adam Aznou, Vitalii Mykolenko, and Nathan Patterson are doubts, while David Moyes confirmed in his pre-match press conference that Jarrad Branthwaite is not ready for a return.

Meanwhile, for the visitors, Unai Emery confirmed that Matty Cash is fit, but ruled out Andres Garcia, Boubacar Kamara, Amadou Onana and Ross Barkley, which makes it nine players potentially out.

Iliman Ndiaye blow is huge for Everton

Ndiaye had started the season in great form, but it had gone under the radar due to Grealish's wonderful start to his Blues career.

Ndiaye scored in both victories and is a menace to defenders, and Moyes will have a dilemma to solve if he is not able to recover from the knock that he suffered on international duty.

  • Ndiaye featured 33 times in the league last season, notching nine goals
  • He has played three times in the league this time around, with two goals already
  • Played a total of 173 minutes for Senegal in the international break

The Toffees may have to call on Tyler Dibling, who has only played once since his £35million move.

He made his debut in the 2-0 Carabao Cup win over Mansfield Town, but the top-flight is a huge step up for the former Southampton man.

He does have some experience, featuring 20 times in the division last season, with two goals and no assists to his name, but it will be a big ask for him to replicate the Senegal star's exploits for the Blues.
