Everton fans will love new Jack Grealish reveal ahead of Liverpool showdown
Everton will hope to secure their first win at Anfield since 2021 when they take on Liverpool in the Premier League on Saturday.
Liverpool are favourites against Everton, after winning their opening four fixtures of the season.
But the Toffees will be confident, with wins over Wolves and Brighton underlining a strong start to the season for David Moyes’ side.
Darren England will officiate the trip to Liverpool, but Everton will hope to keep the game away from the referee’s whistle.
Interestingly, Everton have spent more time than Liverpool in the lead this season, with the Reds leaving it late to win in all four of their matches.
Jack Grealish is also set for his first Merseyside derby.

Jack Grealish enjoys playing against Liverpool
Grealish was impressive again as Everton drew 0-0 with Aston Villa, the winger creating five chances and completing three dribbles against his former side.
The 30-year-old has been a revelation at the Hill Dickinson Stadium this season and was rightly rewarded with the Premier League player of the month award for August.
Grealish has already registered four assists, and came close to scoring his first goal for Everton when Emiliano Martinez saved his half-volleyed effort on Saturday.
The former Manchester City man is already a firm favourite among the Toffees fans, but the trip to Anfield could provide him with another chance to win their hearts.
Jack Grealish vs Premier League opponents | Goal contribution per game (At least five played) |
Liverpool | 1 |
Southampton | 0.7 |
Brighton | 0.66 |
West Ham | 0.6 |
Leeds United | 0.6 |
And Grealish has form, with Liverpool statistically representing his favourite team to play against in the Premier League.
Of all the teams the winger has faced in his 194 Premier League appearances, the Reds are the team against whom Grealish has offered his best goal contribution per game record.
In just seven games against Liverpool, the England international has registered three goals and four assists.

Jack Grealish destroyed Liverpool in 2020
Grealish scored and assisted when Manchester City beat Liverpool 4-1 in 2023, but that game does not compare to what the winger did in 2020.
It was a strange time for many when the COVID-19 pandemic forced games behind closed doors, and the bizarre atmosphere prompted some bizarre results, too.
On just matchday four of the 2020/21 Premier League season, champions Liverpool arrived at Villa Park and 90 minutes later, would leave having been decimated 7-2.
Incredibly, Grealish would leave the field with two goals and three assists, in what was undoubtedly among the most memorable performances of his career.
The 30-year-old is unlikely to leave Anfield with the same numbers on Saturday, but he will be confident for his first Merseyside derby.
