Jack Grealish astonishing, 3/10 an embarrassment – Everton player ratings vs Liverpool
Everton put on a brave showing but were ultimately defeated 2-1 at Liverpool on Saturday.
David Moyes was looking to arrest a grim record against Liverpool, and his side gave it a good go at Anfield.
Goals from Ryan Gravenberch and Hugo Ekitike had given the Reds a firm grip on the clash before Idrissa Gueye got one back.
Liverpool have the bragging rights over Everton, but Moyes cannot fault his team for their second-half display.

Beto flops in Everton loss
Vitalii Mykolenko did not look too sharp for Everton, but he was probably not fully fit, whereas Beto cannot make that excuse.
The Guinea-Bissau forward struggled desperately in the first half and was hooked at half-time by Moyes with his side down two-nil.
The decision was justified as the striker recorded just one shot, which was off target and had just 11 touches in the clash before he was replaced, per Sofascore, in what was an embarrassing display.
There will likely be a debate around his position in the starting line-up with Thierno Barry pushing to start over him, and there is every chance that the France Under-21 star gets the nod.

Grealish impresses despite Everton loss
Jack Grealish has been in immense form for Everton since joining on loan from Manchester City, with four assists in the month of August.
He won the Premier League Player of the Month award for that, but could not show the same form against Aston Villa as the Blues laboured to a draw.
However, he was constantly threatening the Reds’ backline as the Toffees eventually got back into the game in the 58th minute.
Grealish played a wonderful ball to Iliman Ndiaye, who cut it back for Gueye to reduce the deficit and make it a nervy encounter.
He made four key passes and completed two of his three cross attempts, for a 66 per cent success rate, while also winning five of nine ground duels.
