Everton are set to return to Premier League action on Monday as they host West Ham at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

After Everton’s 2-0 defeat to Wolves on Tuesday in the Carabao Cup, David Moyes will be determined to quickly return the Toffees to form.

On Monday, they face another struggling side, with West Ham in the relegation zone after three points from five matches.

However, the Toffees are not guaranteed all three points, with Everton drawing to an equally poor Aston Villa earlier this season.

Everton overwhelming favourites for West Ham clash

While Moyes will be taking little for granted, it is widely expected that Everton will take advantage of Graham Potter’s woes on Monday.

According to Opta on 24 September, the Toffees are comfortable favourites at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with a 52.8 per cent chance of taking all three points.

In comparison, West Ham have just a 23.1 per cent chance of coming away with a victory, while the odds of a draw sit at 24.1 per cent.

Everton picked up a point last time Moyes faced his old club in the Premier League, and now, he will be hoping to go one step further.

Everton have a terrible recent record against West Ham

In recent times, Everton have often struggled to beat West Ham.

Their last victory came in 2023, and the Toffees have only won two of their last eight encounters.

However, given that West Ham have plummeted down the Premier League table in recent years, this is the best chance Everton have of ending this awful spell.

Hopefully, the Toffees will get an early goal, especially with many of their key stars being rested against Wolves on Tuesday.
