David Moyes is searching for the winning solution at Everton, and the answer may be right in front of him already.

Everton are looking to get back into form after winning just one of their last eight in all competitions, after a positive start to the campaign.

Everton's 1-1 draw with Sunderland was the latest in a long line of disappointing results, and Moyes must turn things around quickly.

The clash with Fulham at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on 8 November represents a chance to start putting things right.

Why Tim Iroegbunam deserves a chance at Everton

Tim Iroegbunam started the campaign as an Everton regular, failing to start just one of the first three Premier League matches.

His minutes have fallen off a cliff since then, with just 52 in the last six matches for the Blues, as Moyes sticks with his preferred partnership of James Garner and Idrissa Gueye.

Iroegbunam ranks behind only Chelsea star Moises Caicedo (2.63 per 90 minutes) for interceptions from midfielders who have played over five matches in the top-flight this season with 2.25, per Sofascore.

His overall defensive output is superb, and it could provide the Toffees with a foundation to build on, as they look to solve their well-documented attacking woes.

Everton must give Iroegbunam a chance to shine

Caicedo is widely regarded as one of the best midfielders in world football, so if Ireogbunam is among that company for a key metric, he is clearly doing something right.

At 23 years old, he needs to be playing regular football, otherwise, his development will be hindered, and he has shown that he deserves it.

If he is wasted on the bench, then he may decide to seek an exit, to get regular playing time and show off his talents elsewhere.

That could be in the form of a loan or a permanent transfer, so the Blues need to make sure that he has a chance to shine on Merseyside, sooner rather than later.

If he does not, then they risk losing one of their most promising talents, so Moyes needs to put his faith in him.
