Where Iliman Ndiaye will rank in Everton’s most expensive sales as mega-million exit news emerges

Everton could face a battle to keep Iliman Ndiaye as Tottenham eye a deal for the winger.

Ndiaye has easily been one of Everton’s best players this season, and has already netted four goals in 11 Premier League outings.

Now, reports have emerged that Tottenham have identified Nidaye as their main target ahead of the January transfer window.

However, with Everton set to demand between £60-£70million for the Senegal international, it would be an enormous fee if it were to go through.

As a result, Goodison News has examined where the potential departure would rank in the Toffees’ most expensive sales.

Iliman Ndiaye could become Everton’s second most expensive sale

Despite the Toffees boasting numerous quality players in recent years, few have gone on to be sold by the Merseyside club for a big fee.

Romelu Lukaku remains Everton’s biggest sale, with the striker moving to Manchester United in 2017 for £75m.

Following the Belgian is Richarlison, who moved to Tottenham in 2022 for £60m, and Amadou Onana, who transferred to Aston Villa for £50m in 2024.

Completing the top five is John Stones for his move to Manchester City in 2016 for £47.5m and Anthony Gordon’s controversial move to Newcastle in 2023 for £45m.

Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United £75m
Richarlison to Tottenham £60m
Amadou Onana to Aston Villa £50m
John Stone to Man City £47.5m
Anthony Gordon to Newcastle £45m
Everton have sold numerous big names over the years

Therefore, even if Everton were to just get £60m for Ndiaye, he would still be their second most expensive sale ever.

However, the Toffees would have to demand upwards of £75m if the sale was to become a record departure.

What has David Moyes said about a potential Ndiaye sale?

Speculation surrounding Ndiaye’s future at Everton is nothing new.

Given the winger’s form, it is not surprising, and Moyes has even addressed these rumours personally.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference before the Fulham game, the Scotsman said: “I don’t really see the speculation, probably because I’m not looking.

“He’s got three-and-a-half years left on his deal here, maybe more, so it’s something we’re fully aware of.”
