Alan Myers wowed after what Everton players did for David Moyes vs Man United

Alan Myers has insisted that Everton players would run through brick walls for David Moyes.

Everton beat Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford on Monday to record their first away win against the Red Devils since 2013 in the Premier League.

After Idrissa Gana Gueye’s silly red card incident, Everton then went on to become the first team in history to beat Manchester United on their own patch with 10 men.

Moyes will be delighted, and Everton are still hopeful of achieving European football this season.

The win has sent ripples through the Premier League, and Myers has “seen this before” with an exciting new chapter unfolding at Everton.

Everton players dug in for David Moyes despite adversity

Moyes had a horrible record against Man United coming into the clash, and everything was pointing towards defeat.

Everton lost 4-0 at Old Trafford last season, and when Gueye was shown red after 13 minutes, the Toffees looked doomed.

However, the Everton players puffed out their chests and embraced the task, taking three points back to Merseyside, thanks to a stunning Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall strike.

Everton stats vs Manchester United, according to Sofascore:

Myers took to X to share his delight over the win and the one key takeaway, which really showcases the fight in Everton’s squad.

Myers said: “l’ve seen this before, players put it in for Moyes, they put it in for him despite everything.”

Everton are now above Liverpool in the Premier League after 12 games have been played for the first time since 2015.

Everton can get top 10 easily

With European football now achievable, there’s no reason why the Blues can’t get into that top seven.

Top 10 should be the bare minimum for Everton, and they have proved why with the win over the Red Devils against all odds.

Everton have a spirited team that is influenced by Moyes to work hard and perform, and with the January transfer window around the corner, things will only improve.

The Blues have recently seen an influx of £107m in funds by Roundhouse Capital Holdings Limited, and a spending spree could soon be seen on Merseyside to get the Toffees over the line.
