Gary Neville left in awe over ‘wild’ Everton scenes after unbelievable win vs Manchester United

Gary Neville couldn’t believe the Everton away end despite a defeat for his cherished Manchester United on Monday.

Everton defied the odds by beating Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford on 24 November, after being down to 10 men for the majority of the match.

Idrissa Gana Gueye received a red card after appearing to strike Michael Keane in the face, and his dismissal meant the Toffees had it all to do.

Even though the Red Devils had a major advantage, Everton managed to pick up their first Premier League win over Man United at Old Trafford since 2013.

Neville was left scratching his head after the “wild” scenes in the Everton away end that followed.

Everton fans made noise that Gary Neville hasn’t heard in a long time

Wayne Rooney and Roy Keane praised Everton’s away supporters ahead of the match, and even claimed that the Bluenoses are the best away fans in football.

The Toffees want to be successful this season, and David Moyes will know how important the support will be for results.

Everton’s tremendous away support finally had something big to cheer away from home when Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall scored a screamer in the first half.

Speaking live on Sky Sports while commentating on the game, Neville made a bold claim on what he saw and heard from the Everton fans at Old Trafford.

Neville said: “You’d have to go a long way back to see a set of away fans celebrate an away goal as wildly as that.”

It’s no surprise, though, as Everton fans have already managed to put themselves at the top of the noise charts earlier this season.

Everton fans rank fifth-highest for noise

The Hill Dickinson Stadium began operations this summer after Everton left Goodison Park behind.

There was controversy around the decision to make the move; however, the Toffees have been able to replicate the same atmosphere in their new home, and perhaps even better.

According to The Football Faithful, Everton’s first game at the Hill Dickinson against Brighton recorded a decibel level of 126 dB.

This ranks fifth for the loudest crowd noises heard in football stadiums after recent reports.

Everton fans are simply the best in England.
