Barry opened his account at the Hill Dickinson Stadium with the goal assisted by Iliman Ndiaye, who has been in imperious form for the Blues this season.
The former Villarreal striker was all smiles after finding the back of the net, and he will surely hope to kickstart his career at the Merseyside outfit now.

Thierno Barry relief palpable after Everton goal vs Nottingham Forest
Barry’s passionate celebration after scoring and post-match highlights how much his first goal for the Toffees means for him.
The 23-year-old completed a £27.6million move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium from Villarreal, and big things are expected of him.
With the French youngster arguably carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders, looking to find the back of the net, fans in L4 and Carragher are glad to see him finally get off the mark.
Speaking on Monday Night Football on 8 December, the former Liverpool defender said: “Only people associated with Forest will be disappointed. Have you seen a better smile than that all season? He’s come from a foreign club, and it’s been difficult for him. I was absolutely over the moon when he scored.”
Moyes will certainly expect Barry to consistently contribute at the Merseyside outfit from here on out, but it remains to be seen whether he can build on his performance against Forest.
The Scottish manager has had to see his team struggle up front in the current campaign, with just 18 goals scored, one of the lowest in the English top flight.
David Moyes won’t forget transfer priority despite Thierno Barry goal
There’s a consensus among some that a new striker should be a priority target for Everton and Moyes in January.
Several names have been linked with the Toffees, but only time will tell whether The Friedkin Group will want to invest in a new number nine in the winter transfer window or wait until the summer.
| Player | PL Appearances | Goals | Assists |
| Barry | 15 | 1 | 0 |
| Beto | 15 | 1 | 0 |
The American owners have shown a lot of ambition by signing Jack Grealish on loan from Manchester City, and fans will hope they will build on that in L4.
There’s no point giving Moyes a few superstars without a squad deep enough to be competitive in the Premier League and domestic cup competitions.
