‘Signing of the season?’- Troy Deeney wowed by what Everton star did vs Nottingham Forest
Everton put in one of their best performances of the season to beat Sean Dyche’s Nottingham Forest at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday.
Dyche was back in the blue half of Merseyside for the first time since he was sacked last January, but Everton’s 3-0 win over Forest ensured it was a disappointing return for the former Toffees boss.
David Moyes’ side instantly went ahead through a Nikola Milenkovic own goal, before Thierno Barry finally got on the scoresheet, 16 games after his summer move from Villarreal.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall added a third for Everton late on with a right-footed finish, and the midfielder is rightfully receiving a lot of praise for his recent form.
Troy Deeney can’t get enough of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall at Everton
Dewsbury-Hall signed for Everton from Chelsea over the summer to finally kickstart his career in the Premier League again.
The move has been a resounding success, and the Englishman already has seven Premier League goal contributions this season.
It comes as no surprise that the latest in a long line of superb Dewsbury-Hall performances earned the former Chelsea and Leicester City man a place in Troy Deeney’s team of the week.

Writing for BBC Sport, Deeney questioned whether the Everton star had been the signing of the season in the Premier League.
He said: “Is he the signing of the season? He has been fantastic.
“Not only is he scoring, he is pulling the strings and has become the heartbeat of this new-look Everton team under David Moyes, who can get another gear out of these players as they did against Nottingham Forest.”

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall can fire Everton to Europe
Everton have now won four of their last five Premier League games, the only blip coming against Newcastle United as they were beaten 4-1 at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
After yet another impressive result over the weekend, the Toffees have moved up to seventh in the table, just two points adrift of Crystal Palace in fourth.
| Position | Team | Games | Points |
| 4 | Crystal Palace | 15 | 26 |
| 5 | Chelsea | 15 | 25 |
| 6 | Man United | 15 | 25 |
| 7 | Everton | 15 | 24 |
Dewsbury-Hall is part of one of the most exciting attacking units in the league, along with Jack Grealish and Iliman Ndiaye.
The midfielder has started the season so well, and with the likes of Grealish and Ndiaye to link up with, is showing no signs of slowing down.
With Dewsbury-Hall continuing to flourish, there is no reason why Everton cannot mount a real challenge for the European places.
