Everton had a penalty appeal waved away in the 0-0 draw against Burnley on Saturday.

Tyler Dibling's effort was blocked by Jaidon Anthony late in the contest, as the Clarets man charged it down, and it hit his arm in the penalty box.

However, a spot kick was not awarded by Craig Pawson, leaving David Moyes and Co. furious as the points were shared at Turf Moor on 27 December.

What did Hackett say about Everton penalty incident?

Moyes has spoken out about the decisions Everton have had this season, and he will be livid after Hackett's verdict.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, the ex-PGMOL chief said: "The player has his arm extended from his body and time to withdraw it given the distance travelled by the ball.

"This, for me, was handball, and a penalty kick should have been awarded."

Everton need to request a meeting with the PGMOL

It seems like a never-ending amount of decisions are going against the Blues at the moment, and something needs to be done about it.

Moyes was furious about the lack of communication from the PGMOL over the incidents last week against Arsenal, where the Gunners had a penalty awarded but the Toffees did not.

Hackett has already called out Howard Webb for his lack of openness about the incident, and Moyes needs to request another with the body that is responsible for the referees.

The Blues have already met with the PGMOL earlier this season, when Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was suspended for picking up five bookings, with at least one of them being a dubious call.

They need to do so again, as the decisions are not good enough, and neither is the silence from Webb and Co.

They need to be held accountable; it is as simple as that, the decisions they make affect the club's seasons, and there seems to be no recourse for incorrect calls.

It may well have an impact on the Blues' pursuit of European football, and the amount of money that they receive at the end of the campaign, so, there needs to be some kind of action.
