Everton prepare multi-million transfer offer for ex-Arsenal defender Ryan Alebiosu

Everton are keeping tabs on Blackburn Rovers right-back Ryan Alebiosu in the winter transfer window.

The 24-year-old is attracting interest from the Toffees and several teams around Europe after an impressive season at Ewood Park.

David Moyes has had to rely on Jake O’Brien at right-back, but the Scottish manager has admitted the Republic of Ireland international is being played out of position.

Adam Aznou is being linked with an exit from the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and the Blues may need to strengthen their full-back position soon.

Ryan Alebiosu valued at £4m amid Everton transfer interest

Blackburn will look to get around £4million for Alebiosu amid increasing interest in him, according to ESPN.

The news outlet reports on 2 January that the right-back’s situation is expected to develop once he returns from the Africa Cup of Nations.

It’s been claimed that the Toffees, Wolfsburg, Sassuolo and Genoa are monitoring the London-born defender, who’s currently with the Nigerian national team.

Alebiosu made his way through the youth ranks at Arsenal before playing for the likes of Kilmarnock and St Mirren on loan in Scotland.

The Nigerian ace has made 20 appearances for the Rovers this season in the Championship, scoring one goal and providing two assists.

David Moyes to get transfer wish despite latest from Hill Dickinson Stadium

Moyes has agreed only to sign a couple of players on loan at the Hill Dickinson Stadium in January, but Alebiosu may be feasible for the Toffees.

Everton will surely be able to afford the defender’s relatively cheap price tag in the winter transfer window.

Right-back is an area that the Blues should prioritise reinforcing, and the Blackburn star could possibly move elsewhere if they hold on to his transfer in L4.

The Scottish manager is evidently in need of more players to improve squad depth at the Merseyside outfit, but it remains to be seen whether they’ll sign Alebiosu.
