Everton now know what it would take to sign Genoa right-back Brooke Norton-Cuffy this month.

Norton-Cuffy has been linked with a move to Everton, as the Blues eye a new right-back for David Moyes' squad.

The former Arsenal youth academy star was a part of the England Under-21 team that won the European Championships last summer, and he has been starring in Italy.

However, he could be on his way to Merseyside before the transfer window slams shut on 2 February.

How much would Norton-Cuffy cost Everton?

A report from Tuttomercatoweb on 29 January claims that the Italian club will consider selling Norton-Cuffy in the winter window, if an offer of around £17million is submitted.

It also states that a loan is possible, with an initial fee of £3.4-4.3m and a purchase option of £13m, enough to reach an agreement, with Inter Milan and Juventus also interested.

That is great value, and would represent a bargain transfer for the Toffees, if they pull the trigger and make their move.

Friedkins have to sort Norton-Cuffy transfer for Moyes

Moyes is desperate for a new right-back, as he is currently having to play Jake O'Brien, who is naturally a centre-back, in the position.

The Irishman lacks the natural attacking ability to get the best out of the role, and backups Seamus Coleman and Nathan Patterson do not offer enough to be ahead of him in the pecking order.

The Friedkin Group need to sort a deal for the 22-year-old, especially if he is going for such a low price.

They cannot afford to stand still while rivals strengthen, if Moyes' side are aiming to get into the European qualification slots.

The Friedkins need to take advantage of their connections in Italian football, and bring Norton-Cuffy back to England as soon as possible, rather than leaving a transfer until the summer.

The ex-Gunners ace could be the perfect option to fix the Toffees' problems in the position, and help them rise up the table in the second half of the campaign, all for a very decent fee.
