Hill Dickinson Stadium to look better than ever as announcement made pre-Everton vs Man United

Everton and the 1878s are planning their biggest and best display yet for Manchester United’s visit to the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Monday.

David Moyes‘ side will be looking to beat an in-form Man United team, who are currently unbeaten in five under interim boss Michael Carrick.

The Toffees have aspirations of Premier League success this season, with the ambition to break into a spot for European football.

Everton fans are crucial in the Blues achieving this goal, and together with the 1878s that looks to be possible, as yet another fabulous Hill Dickinson Stadium display is being prepared for the clash.

As announced by the 1878s on X, the planned display will be the biggest single stand flag display the venue has seen, with over 400 flags on display in the south stand upper and lower.

Everton fans have been kindly asked to leave the flags behind their seats once then display is done, and are not to take them home.

Supporters are asked to wave said flags once songs begin playing on the PA system 15 minutes before kick-off.

Katie Carter is one of the leading ambassadors for the 1878s and has a high expectation that the display will produce a one-of-a-kind atmosphere.

Carter said, as quoted by The Mirror on Thursday: “It’s one of the steepest stands in Europe, it can be intimidating if we make it that way, so let’s decorate it with flags and let’s fill it with noise and get it going.

“Monday night is the perfect opportunity for that. Whether you know the person next to you or you don’t, sing along with them, like get right behind them, make sure that everyone is standing up, all singing and getting that atmosphere going in that ground.”

David Moyes biggest issue to tackle vs Man United

It goes without saying but Hill Dickinson Stadium has been in the spotlight for the wrong reasons at times this season.

The Toffees’ move was always going to bring controversy, and despite the glowing reviews of the atmosphere so far, it has not always resulted in positive results on the pitch.

This season, Everton have only won four league games at their new home, which has sparked a sensitive conversation among Bluenoses.

Moyes will have to hope that the planned display helps his team turn their fortunes around at Hill Dickinson Stadium and come away with a much-needed home win.
